Asia's Pop Queen, Ziana Zain belted out one of the famous Japanese folks' song Chitose Bashi (千登勢橋) in an album "Asian Voices" in year 1992. the original singer of this song is Mieko Nishijima (西島三重子). The song was composed by Nishijima herself and lyrics by Kenji Kadoya (門谷憲二).

The TOP ASIA Corporate Ball 2017 was organized by TOP 10 Malaysia and TOP 10 Asia in initiative to showcase Asia's excellence in all its diversity: arts, literature, cultures, politics and entertainment. The event has been held on 10 November 2017 at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. During that night, Ziana Zain, Asia's Pop Queen has been awarded as Malaysia's Music Legend Award 2017. She also has presented her popular song "Anggapanmu" during that night.

ASEAN Most Recognised Brand in Leading Performance (Artiste of the Year) 2017

The ASEAN Outstanding Business Award is annual event to recognise ASEAN market leaders and brands for their achievements and accomplishments such as their commitment to community, ethical behavior and environmental sustainability. This year is their 8th anniversary and the event had been held at Genting International Convention Center, First World Hotel, Genting Highlands on 30th September 2017. Our beloved Asia's Pop Queen, Ziana Zain has received an award of ASEAN Most Recognised Brand in Leading Performance (Artiste Of The Year) that has been presented to her by Housing, Local Government and Urban Well being Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar.

During the 68th Cannes Film Festival, The Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) 2015 took place at the Inter Continental Carlton. Founder and chairman of IFF, Dato Sri Raja Rezza Shah welcomed guest who flown in especially from all over the world for the night. The evening's theme "Lawrence d'Arabie sur La Cote d'Azur" was brought to life by Malaysia's Dato Faarah Khan, Rizman Nordin and Wan Ruzaini of Rizman Ruzaini, Indonesia's  Ghea Panggabean, Singapore's London-based Ashley Isham, and India's Nitin Goenka of Emporer's Fine Jewels.  The Asia's Pop Queen, Ziana Zain has been selected as a muse for Rizman Ruzaini collection. She has flown to France on 19 May and will be back to Malaysia Saturday next week. There are three familiar voices on a new Walt Disney compilation which marks the first joint venture between a Malaysian and an international music company. The three voices are those of Ning Baizura, Ziana Zain and Jatt(former member of Singaporean rock band Black Dog Bone) who were given the opportunity to render four cover songs on the Musical Salute to Disney album. Comprising 16 of Disney's greatest hits, the album is a joint effort by BMG Malaysia and the Walt Disney Co. Among the numbers are the Pocahontas theme, Colours of the Wind by Ning Baizura, Can You Feel the Love Tonight (From The Lion King) by Jatt, A Whole New World ( from Aladdin) and Beauty and The Beast by Ziana and Jatt. The other songs include Hakuna Matata by Jimmy Cliff and Lebo M,  Streets of Gold by Ruth Pointer, Whoomph! there it went by Tag team. The album also features Billy Joel, Elton John and Hellen Reddy. A music video clip for colours of the wind by Ning will also be released. The video will include footage from the original clips. According to Disney Consumer Product music and publishing manager for Malaysia, W.P Chow " The album is produced as part of long term localisation programmed." Chow hopes the album will be a step towards giving Malaysian Artistes a chance to showcase their talents on the international scene. He says there will be more such, affords, including Malay album of Disney songs to be released later this year. In conjunction with the release  of Musical Salute to Disney, BMG is organizing a karaoke contest at Kerry's supermarket in Cheras and Jaya Jusco at One Utama in Petaling Jaya. The album will also be released in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

The various "Colours" of love, symbolising aspects of love, friendship, teamwork and peace - will be the theme of a new album to be launched soon. The album, Colors of Love to be released worldwide under the BMG-International label, will be produced by BMG Pacific Records of Malaysia. It features Asean talents - from the lyrics to the arrangements - the songs to be rendered by five BMG artistes from the Asean contries. They are Ziana Zain from Malaysia, Zann (Singapore), Kanakam Abhiradee (Thailand), Jo Awayan (Philippines), and Novia Kolopaking (Indonesia). According to producer-songwriter-arranger Zuriani Khalid, who was responsible for the album's name: 'Colours of Love' is not only the album's title but is also the group's name, the album's theme and the title of one of the songs. She adds: " This theme is conceptualised because of what is going on around the world, with so much hatred and war around. Hopefully, this message of love will reach everyone around the globe. This is a love-based project which emphasises the importance of love regardless  of skin colour. The 30-year old producer feels it is not impossible for Asean artistes to get international recognition. "We have the talents here. The only area we are lacking in is discipline.

I dont think we should take a back seat. I also feel it is high time we established a certain standard of professionalism". says Zuriani, who has composed more than 50 songs. The singers, chosen by their respective record companies, will be singing mostly pop-oriented songs. This is because Zuriani finds working on such materials much easier; the songs also have a ready market. This album will mark a first Kl-born producer who spent 13 years abroad in economics and political science studies at Northern Illinois University. "I am glad the girls have fantastic chemistry. I also find their personalities just perfect for my songs". The composer has decided to let each singer render two songs. Twenty-six year old Kanakam Abhiradee (Bee), who has one solo album to her credit, sings the pop rock ballad I Am The Only One and Just Friends. Novia Kolopaking 19, will sing the ballad Dreaming Again and mid-tempo Field of Sunshine while Awayan, a seasoned club singer, will render the pop rock Dangerous Man and mid-tempo Love in Your Heart. Twenty-four-year-old Zann who has recorded one compilation album and a Mandarin album will do the pop-uptempo Singing My Heart Away and Heaven In You, a slow ballad. Ziana sing the R&B Feel Me Out and will duet on Groove Me with Jo Awayan. All five singers will join in to sing the little track Colours of Love.

Bagi Ziana Zain, terpilih menjadi salah seorang daripada 10 penyanyi Asia untuk projek Asia Voices tahun lalu memang membanggakan tetapi yang lebih penting sekarang, dia mahu album sulungnya - Madah Berhelah mendapat sambutan dan mampu sebaris dengan penyanyi lain yang sudah dikenali.

Bagaimanapun, dia bangga dapat mengharumkan nama negara menerusi projek Asia Voices itu, di samping meraih pengalaman untuk album terbarunya kelak. Album Asia Voices memuatkan lagu popular Jepun suatu ketika dahulu. Ziana membawakan lagu Chitose-bashi. Penyanyi lain yang terbabit ialah Raimond Choi yang membawakan lagu Dustin Hoffman; Rosanne Lui (12Bangui no carol); Boonie Lam (Kataomoi); Zann (Ikegami-sen); Chryssie (Long Version); Huang Jie Sung (Mizukagamito); Jessica Houng (Anokoro no mamani); Jiang Shi Heng (Ai no owari ni); Tito Soemarsono (Yatsusa-take) dan Odette Quesada (Tokyo). Mereka dari Singapura, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, Filipina, Taiwan,Korea dan Jepun.

Album Asia Voices dipasarkan minggu lalu di Jepun dan setakat ini 75,000 unit sudah dijual. Mengenai lagu Chitose-bashi, Ziana berkata, kemungkinan lagu itu dimuatkan dalam album keduanya yang akan dimulakan bulan Mei ini. "Saya tidak tahu sama ada album Asia Voices akan dipasarkan di negara ini atau tidak, tetapi sudah dimaklumkan lagu Chitose-basi akan dirakamkan dalam album akan datang," katanya.

Jurucakap wakil BMG di Jepun, George Kagi berkata, artis Malaysia mempunyai potensi untuk menembusi pasaran seni suara di rantau Asia. "Pelbagai kegiatan serantau dalam bidang itu seperti Pesta Lagu Asia, Asia Bagus dan Asia Voice memberi peluang kepada artis Asia untuk menunjukkan bakat masing-masing," katanya. Misalnya, penyanyi Ziana Zain dikenal pasti mempunyai suara yang unik kerana dapat membawa lagu bernada tinggi, berbeza dengan penyanyi Jepun
yang jarang ada vokalis perempuan yang bernada tinggi. Katanya, dalam rancangan Asia Voice anjuran BMG Jepun, daripada 200 kaset yang dihantar dalam pertandingan itu, hanya sebelas yang terpilih, termasuk satu daripada Malaysia diwakili Ziana Zain. Kagi berkata, Ziana berjaya membawa lagu Jepun Chitosekashi dengan nada yang tinggi - konsep rancangan itu ialah memilih artis BMG di seluruh Asia dan memilih yang terbaik untuk dilatih sebagai artis antarabangsa.

Sekalung tahniah buat Diva Ziana Zain apabila beliau dan krew majalah popular GLAM telah diterbangkan ke Australia untuk photoshoot bersama koleksi musim luruh 2010 Louis Vuitton. Pengambaran telah berlangsung di salah satu binaan pasca perang paling penting dalam sejarah seni bina Australia iaitu Boyd Baker House selama 4 hari 3 malam. Ziana Zain telah di tatarias sesuai dengan tema English Vintage 1950s. Memang mengagumkan melihat koleksi gambar-gambar yang telah berjaya dirakamkan. Facial expression, koleksi pakaian serta pose yang diberikan Ziana berjaya menghidupkan tema 1950an itu. Untuk mendapatkan berita selanjutnya, jangan lupa dapatkan majalah GLAM edisi septembar di pasaran sekarang!!! ZIANA Zain yang terpilih ke Festival Asian Pop Queen anjuran NHK Jepun di Fukuoka dan Hiroshima, Jepun, selama tiga hari bermula 2 Oktober ini mahu membuktikan penyanyi Malaysia juga mampu menyerlah di peringkat antarabangsa. Lima penyanyi dari empat negara Asia mengambil bahagian. Selain Ziana yang mewakili Malaysia, Jepun menghantar dua artis manakala Indonesia dan Filipina seorang peserta.

Indonesia dijangka diwakili penyanyi popularnya, Hetty Koes Endang, manakala Filipina kumpulan remaja Smokey Mountain. Persembahan pertama di Fukuoka pada 2 dan 3 Oktober disiarkan secara langsung ke beberapa negara di Asia, manakala persembahan seterusnya ialah di Hiroshima pada 5 Oktober.

Pengurus Ziana, Nanee, yang mengiringi penyanyi itu berkata, mereka akan bertolak ke Jepun lebih awal iaitu esok (Selasa) untuk mengadakan latihan pesat dengan band pengiring yang disediakan penganjur. "Ziana berasa bangga kerana terpilih menyertai festival itu dan sekaligus memberi peluang kepadanya untuk mengenali dirinya dengan lebih dekat dengan peminat seni suara negara itu. "Sebelum ini lagunya dalam bahasa Jepun berjudul Chitose Bashi, dimuatkan dalam album Asian Voice yang menampilkan persembahan artis beberapa negara Asia, sudah dijual di sana.

"Peluang keemasan ini tidak akan disia-siakan oleh Ziana, di samping mahu membuktikan kepada negara luar bahawa Malaysia juga mempunyai ramai artis yang berbakat."Setiap artis diberi masa 20 minit untuk mengadakan persembahan. Ziana
akan mendendangkan tiga lagu iaitu Anggapanmu, Kucinta Padamu dan lagu
Jepun Chitose Bashi," katanya.

Mengenai persiapan itu, menurut Nanee lagi, Ziana kini menjalani latihan pesat iaitu di segi vokal dan persembahan. "Kami menyediakan seorang yang pakar di bidang koreografi untuk mengajarnya kerana di samping memerlukan suara yang baik, persembahan yang menarik juga boleh memikat penonton," katanya.

Menjawab satu soalan lain, Nanee berkata, Ziana sudah membuat persetujuan untuk membintangi filem Sembilu arahan Yusof Haslam, keluaran Skop Production. "Insya-Allah, pulang dari Jepun, barulah majlis menandatangani kontrak diadakan. Sekarang Ziana sibuk dan abang Yusof sendiri faham dengan keadaan itu dan dia memberi kebebasan kepada kami."Walaupun Ziana sudah diterima berlakon, tetapi dia terpaksa mengadakan uji bakat yang bertujuan mengetahui setakat mana kemampuan penyanyi itu di
bidang lakonan.

"Ziana sendiri tidak berkecil hati apabila dia disuruh melakukannya kerana sebagai tuan punya syarikat dan juga pengarah filem itu, Yusof berhak berbuat sedemikian," katanya.
